Isotopia was formed in the summer of 2002 with 4 boys all of the ripe old age of 13. The band was formed when a council run music scheme came to the boys secondary school to talk to the kids about running a 'rock school' to teach kids how to get into bands and then help those newly formed bands develop and blossom into something beautiful. The boys, having all been interested in rock music since a very early age all decided it was a grate way to kill an evening and have a giggle with there friends and maybe even find some like minded individuals to form a band with.
With starry eyes and dirty knees the 4 lads all went to the rock school, and where introduced via other friends and council workers.....And so ISOTOPIA was born.
The band has had multiple line up changes over the years, but the core members have always been involved from the outset. The original line up consisted of Ed Spear - Drummer, Jonathan Moss - Bass player, Jonathan Parker - Guitarist and Tobie Anderson - Vocals. This particular line up lasted for at least a year until band disputes over the direction of the music and one particular member having lots of trouble not being a front man forced the band to rethink its members, so Jonathan Parker decided to throw in the towel.
The remaining 3 members decided that they needed to try and get closer towards the sort of music they where currently listening to, witch mainly consisted of mettallica and iron maiden (what 14 or 15 year old doesn’t love mettalica and maiden) so the decision was taken to look for 2 guitarists as a replacement to get a more hard rock edge. Enter Stage left - the 2 Kieran’s.
Having been in bands before with the Kieran’s, ed Suggested them and after an audition the decision was taken to hire the 2 aspiring young Hammets and Hetfeilds, and the Isotopia line up was completed....or at least for a short time.
Isotopia gigged and wrote 15 or 16 songs with Kieran O'Conner and Kieran Watt in the space of about a year and a half, but again due to directional tension and side project's interfering with the band, The 2 Kieran’s decided to give Isotopia a miss and move onto more important aspects of there young lives.
So again Ed, Tobie and Mossy where searching for 2 new guitarists, but this time they struck gold! Jonny Whatton Shaped Gold.
Jonny Whatton was already well known to the isotopia boys at this point, having played with jonnys then current band 'High Voltage' a number of times witch coincidently Tobies Brother played bass for. So the question was asked and Jonny accepted, vo-la, 1 guitarist sorted but what about the second i hear you cry??
At this point in time, Mossy and Tobie where at the same school and had befriended a beardy lumbering guitarist named Adam Grant, so he was 1st choice for the second in command (guitar wise). Adam of course said yes, and Isotopia was Re-born once again for the 3rd time, and for the 3rd time, the band set out writing brand new songs and gaining a much wider fan base.

There where at least 8 or 9 songs written in Adams time period, as well as the winning of Richmond Live, a then converted position buy the young bands of the area. Controversy struck on the night of the final at Richmond live. As the band went onto the stage to play there winning set, a Group of simple minded chav's had gathered in amongst the crowd of metal fans. One took it upon himself to throw an object at Jonny Whatton, witch narrowly missed him, so, jonny took it upon himself to en-act some justice, and climbed down of the stage, seemingly to play a solo closer to the fans. But as he hit his final note, Jonny reached out and punched the chav in the face, busting his nose open like a broken water main. The organizers of the competition marched on stage and Isotopia where Thrown (quite literally) off the stage in front of 2000 people.

The Adam era came to a close very shortly after this event, as the band found out that he had been quite sneaky and lied about multiple things. so Adam decided with the bad feelings around that it would be best for him to leave.
The search was once again on for a rithem Guitarist, and as Jonny had had the most conflict with Adam, the 4 remaining members decided that it would be best for the band if jonny found the new guitarist, as it would need to be someone that he gelled with in a special sort of way. So jonny plunged his hand into the diss-banded musicians of North Yorkshire bin and pulled out a familiar face.
Mike Brown was the rithem guitarist in 'High Voltage' and was now to become the new rithem guitarist in Isotopia and has remained the best rithem guitarist isotopia has ever had and an Isotopia Brother now for 2 Years.

So the band Soldiered on, still collaborating on a couple of things with the council run music scheme that had brought four 13 year old boys together all those years ago, now named 6k Vision Records and trying to front the scheme as an Indi record label. The boys played numerous gigs throughout 2005, 2006 one of witch was the local collages battle of the bands competition witch they went onto win. Yet another confirmation that the band where going places and just gave the boys that extra edge to keep pushing the band and keep churning out catchy and memorable metal classics.
Isotopia Played between 250 and 300 gigs throughout 05 and 06 with the new line up working perfectly and all the boys having more time for the band now they where out of full time education and into collage life.
There was how ever one exception to that last comment. Mossy. Jonathan although having tried the collage life didn’t feel like it was for him, so then, with a lack of qualifications and a lack of working experience, dropped out of collage and proceeded to get hired and fired from a string of shit jobs. Mossy's life was the band and his Girlfriend, so in the winter of 2006 when his girlfriend announced that she was moving to Australia Mossy was heart broken, as was his girlfriend, so she offered him a plane ticket with her and a place to live, and with the band not being a dead cert that it was going to make it (how ever confident the rest of isotopia where) and nothing else to keep him in Brittan, he Announced his very sad, but understood departure from Isotopia.
As you can Imagine, the band was left with a huge hole and a grate deal of upset as there brother had just flown half way round the world. So again The boys searched.
Tom Bramly was a good friend of Ed and Tobies at collage and also coincidently helped set up the collage entertainment department, as well as playing guitar in his own band 'Howard Orange', So again the excited phone call was made to the potential new member, and he was asked whether he wouldn’t mind putting down his guitar an picking up a bass, and he of course accepted.

In Winter of 06 before bramlys arrival to the band but after Mossys departure, the band met with 6k vision records and there newly appointed 'Mentor' Ash - the Drummer from the now cult and legendary band 'Four Day Hombre', to discuss the possibility of recording a full length album. The idea was met with enthusiasm from both sides and the wheals where set into motion to  get the songs demoed before we went into the studio. Having done 3 Previous demo's the band new how to record a demo them self’s buy now, so demoed the songs using pro tools and 3 mic's in a church in bramlys village, also using extensively, Mrs Bramlys Living room.
The demo was complete and the recording was set into motion.
The 1st dates for recording where mid February, at Bomont Street Studios in Huddersfeild where the tracks Marching progress, Shall we Dance and Feel Inside where recorded.
After a days rest and recuperation, the band where Injected into the most intense recording sessions of there lives to date. At Host Recording studios in Leeds. Four 15 Hour days where put into recording the remaining tracks : Intro, How do i Taste, Cannon Fodder, Waste, Commodities bled and S.O.S. A record number of cigarettes where smoked and a record number of tantrums and tiffs where had during these recording sessions but the band came out strong as ever and with something they where extremely happy with.
